Chapter 8: The Union of Empires

Priestess Leithia found the Wayward Sister of the Aquilonian Empire, Vex the Huntress. She was riddled with pain from her fallen sister Queen Jupy. Through her grief and revenge she reached out to the cursed sorceress powers that run through the Aquilonian Empire Dynasties veins. The priestess worked hard to cleanse her of this through the help of Mitra. Unwilling to take the throne she passed the throne to her cousin Priestess Leithia who was struggling to keep peace in the South.

The Northern Alliance with General Xio leading them along with the powers of the Red Witch plotted the Aquilonian Empires demise because she interrupted their lust for loot and violence. Leithia sent out Vex the Huntress to capture the General and once captured she chose to execute him without the consent of the people in fear of losing control.

The Northern Alliance was prepared and bombed the War Council to free the general. The Aquilonian Empire was now perceived as weak and Priestess Leithia felt the only way to regain the hearts of the people was to send someone on a quest to find the long lost King Conobar. Synitry accepted the quest but unbeknownst to her she spoke ill of her to the king of the Atlantean Empire.

Conobar agreed to meet her and confronted her of her evil ways. She tried her best to reason with him and the people who were gathered there spoke of her good deeds. She also shared a vision she had of the future. How the desert would open up in the North and all will see forests, water and snow. Also, in this vision she would have a child to love.

Conobar heard the pleas of the Priestess and knowing she was of Aquilonian royalty descent decided they should marry to unite the North with the South which she hoped would bring peace to the region. But her trust in  him was misplaced because he had alternative plans that didn't involve bringing unity to the people...
